CR Myers & Associates To Continue Its Support of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy

(MoneyNewsWire.Net, May 28, 2015 ) Detroit, Michigan -- CR Myers & Associates of Southfield Michigan and Craig R Myers are pleased to announce their continued support of the work of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA). Mr. Myers and his wife Kristin also continue their personal dedication to the JRLA.

The academy is organized as a Michigan Charter school. As such, it's state funding is limited and insufficient to meet it's educational mission. The academy relies on an ongoing fund-raising effort through a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, Operation Graduation, to provide the necessary physical accommodations for it's more than 400 students.

About the mission and work of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy

The official mission statement of the organization is; "The mission of the Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) is to provide a leadership-focused experience within a high-performing high school that engages and inspires Detroit area youth to achieve at the rigorous level necessary to ultimately graduate with a college degree and thrive in life. "

The more than 4oo students experience, in part, the following:

A rigorous college-preparatory curriculum
A 90% matriculation rate
A strict discipline policy
A safe learning environment
A competitive sports program

The school was envisioned and founded by Detroit native Jalen Rose in 2011. Mr Rose is an ESPEN/ABC analyst and 13 year NBA player. Mr. Rose remains actively involved in the academy and serves as the president of it's board of directors.
