The spill occurred in Lawrence County, Mississippi, and it has caused all lanes on the major road to be blocked off. Lanes are blocked in both directions, and the road’s closure is expect to last until this afternoon, greatly impacting the traffic from the areas that surround it. Luckily, no one has been hurt by the log truck’s accident yet. Drivers should clearly plan an alternate route, but those that are left unaware of the closure are put at risk.
When a closure in the road unexpectedly takes a driver out of their planned routine, they are left to quickly scramble and find an alternate route. This unfortunate incident also occurred on Highway 84, and it is unknown why she was walking or standing in the road. Both the driver of the pickup, and the victim herself, are being tested for drugs and alcohol use.
