A Stunning Gadgets representative said that the increase is merely owing to the fact that new products are coming out and so extra funds are required to ensure those items are marketed properly. That said there is no disclosed timeline of when the new products will be coming out. But a marked increase of 20% percent is certainly a lot more than what may be needed to market new products.
There are many businesses in the tech industry that work hard to ensure that new products are widely accepted. Even big businesses like Apple and Microsoft will spend millions of dollars on advertising and various marketing campaigns months prior to the launch of a new product. But smaller businesses simply do not have the budget to spend millions. That said Stunning Gadgets can no longer be classified as a small business when the company is able to raise a fortune just for marketing. Plus it also signifies how much the company may have spent on developing the product. So, obviously the company does not want a product to fail simply because the marketing budget was not enough. Though many point out that a 20% increase is significant, few people know exactly how much Stunning Gadgets spends to begin with.
"Increasing our marketing budget is something that we take very seriously. I can tell you for a fact that it goes through lots of scrutiny and it is the result of many brainstorming sessions. Unfortunately, the upward price associated with brining a new product to the market has more than doubled in the past couple of years.
