Stunning Gadgets Will Factor In VAT For Products Sold In The UK

a cool pocket chainsaw experience

(MoneyNewsWire.Net, October 25, 2015 ) Wilmington, Delaware -- However, the addition of VAT will mean that products sold by Stunning Gadgets will be 20% more expensive. As a matter of fact experts believe that the company may soon introduce VAT for products sold online. The company announced in an article published on the blog that in order for sales like the Pocket Chain saw to be made possible and legal in the UK, VAT will need to be added. Though the company currently sells a limited number of products via the online store in the UK, those are still without VAT. But that is going to change.

VAT in the UK is inescapable. Except for a handful of goods which includes postage stamps, almost everything includes a charge of 20% in the way of VAT. People living in the UK are already aware of the fact that most things available are more expensive compared to the same products sold across the Atlantic in the US. At times the prices can be up to 40% higher in the UK, despite businesses trying very hard to keep prices down. That said in order for any company to sell a product legally in the UK, a value added tax is necessary and unavoidable.

"I think that people who have been criticizing us for implementing VAT on our products in the UK need to look at other businesses too. At Stunning Gadgets, we aim to make sure that our prices are the absolute lowest. However, we are so cost effective that lowering our prices any further means that we undercut our bottom line. So, in places like the UK where almost everything sold incurs VAT, there is no way we can absorb the cost. A 20% VAT would mean that every product sold in the UK would end up causing a loss of 20% if we were not to transfer the costs over to the buyer." said the finance manager for Stunning Gadgets "I think that it is very important that people understand that as a business we need to comply with tax and other laws of the country we are operating in."

Stunning Gadgets currently does not have operations in the UK. However, according to reports the company has sold a number of products to buyers in the UK but without implementing VAT. The new report certainly indicates that things will change in this survival kit niche.
