Though not a very steep drop, many experts believe that the figure is alarming for a new business which has just started to gain market share. But Stunning Gadgets has suggested that the decline was merely because of a technical glitch which has since been sorted out.

But in the case of Stunning Gadgets the decline in sales seems to be attributed to a glitch in the system which has seen been fixed. Though the company has warned that there may be issues lurking undetected.
"Today computers run everything and no computer system is foolproof. We can try our best to make sure that it's not buggy, but there are still holes and glitches which are not instantly detectable. Unfortunately, a drop of 10% in our sales was attributed by a system error which prevented our buyers from placing orders from some parts of the world. The glitch was reported to us a couple of days later and by then we had already lost a significant number of orders. That said we are emailing and trying to contact people who were trying to place orders. If anything a 10% decline is not alarming but it certainly shows what can happen if an important piece of software fails for some reason." Said the finance manager for Stunning Gadgets "We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will update our systems accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."
Stunning Gadgets experienced a severe issue with the computer system a couple of months back which nearly shut down the online store. However, contingencies and a backup system in place managed to save the company from what may have been over a million dollars in losses.
